Did you know that this Sunday, 12th of March, it is the first edition of the Day of the bike in Fuengirola?
In our town each day more people are leaving the car or moped aside and are starting to use bikes more frequently, which makes sense as having such great weather and so many bike paths makes it really easy.
This first edition of the Day of the bike is a charity event as all funds raised will go to some well known charities like the Red Cross or the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
The event has been organised by the Fuengirola City Council and the MTB del Sur Cycling Club and its aim is to raise funds for these charities and to make participants enjoy this beautiful sport.
This cycling route will start in the fairground and will go through Avenida Jesús Santos Rein, Avenida Juan Gómez Juanito, Calle Camilo José Cela, Calle Málaga, Calle Héroes de Baler, Paseo Marítimo towards Los Boliches, Calle Rondeña, Avenida de los Boliches and Padre Jesús Cautivo, finishing in the fairground where it started.
To participate in it all you have to do is to pay a 3€ fee either in the Sports Department of the City Council or that same day at 08:30 in the fairground right before the event starts.
If you are currently on holiday with us at Hotel Yaramar and you would love to participate but did not bring your bike with you, remember that we have a great bike renting service for a good value ( 4€ per hour, 8€ per half a day, 14€ per day) that you can book directly from our recepcion.
If you love cycling in your spare time or if what you really like is watching cycling events on tv, you surely will enjoy Fuengirola’s first Day of the Bike!
