Haute cuisine in Malaga

At Hotel Yaramar we love good food and this is reflected in the dishes we offer our guests and also here on this blog as we talk quite a lot about gastronomy.

Those of you who visit Costa del Sol frequently may have already noticed that our area is very rich foodwise and that we have high quality local products here, but did you know that there are 4 Michelin star awarded restaurants in the Malaga region?

One of them is located in Malaga city while the other 3 are in Marbella, the most glamorous town on Costa del Sol.

To be more precise the one in Malaga city is at Muelle Uno ( Port of Malaga) and it is owned by the prestigious chef from Malaga José Carlos García

Marbella, with its 3 Michelin star awarded restaurants, is at the moment the second city in Spain, after San Sebastian, with more stars per inhabitant.

These 3 awarded restaurants are El Lago, Skina and Calima, being this last one the only one in the region awarded with 2 stars.

Calima belongs to the super famous local chef Dani García, who also owns a DeliBar in the Departures Lounge at Malaga Airport Terminal 3 and has recently opened a fantastic Spanish restaurant in New York called Manzanilla.
