The Mater Dei religious parades, which will take place in several towns and cities in Andalusia and Malaga, have been organised by some brotherhoods as they were willing to join the Year of Faith called by the Pope.
The purpose of these parades is to explain faith through the figure of the Virgin.
In Malaga city on Friday the 27th of September and on Saturday the 28th of September during the morning some figures of the Virgin will be on display in their temples so locals and visitors can see, touch or even kiss them.
The 28th of September in the evening is when the parade towards the cathedral of 7 figures of the Virgin will take place.
If you have never been in Malaga during its Holy Week you are very lucky as during these 2 days you will have the chance to see the beautiful religious figures that the city Malaga has. Malaga is expecting many visitors willing to participate on this Mater Day so if you have the fortune of being on holiday at Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, we recommend you to visit the capital of Costa del Sol to enjoy its religious fervour.
We are sure you have never seen such an amazing thing!
