Summer on Costa del Sol means celebration as it is the time of year when we receive the biggest amount of visitors.
Many people from different parts of the world land in Malaga looking for sun, beautiful beaches and good food. Some of you are willing to arrive to relax and get some energy back, while others are more adventurous and what really fancy is exploring the area and having a good time.
If you are one of those who come looking for fun the event we are about to tell you about is no doubt perfect for you.
Many of you might already know La Cala de Mijas, a beautiful and small coastal area only 6 miles away from Fuengirola, as every second Wednesday our new local interest specialist, Courtney, accompanies you to the market there.
Well, from the beginning of June every Friday from 8:00 P.M La Cala has been offering to its locals and visitors some great live performances and some fabulous food on El Torreon Square, one of the nicest and best known squares in there.
This event, which has continued in August, is called “Lunas del Torreon” (which literally means “Moons of the Tower” as on that square you can find a beautiful old fortified tower) and this is the third year it has been organised as in previous years it was quite sucessful.
The last day it will be on will be Friday the 29th of August, so if these days you are enjoying a nice holiday at Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, and you have no plans for Friday we recommend you not to miss these “Lunas del Torreón”.
Having some tasty tapas while enjoying some nice live music so close to the sea is definitely worth the visit!
