Have you ever heard about “Nan’s Casserole” while on holiday on Costa del Sol? “Nan’s Casserole” is a gastronomic route organised every February by the Fuengirola Council. This is its 3rd edition and its main aim to promote the great gastronomic offer in town and to make customers try some very traditional Spanish dishes. The "Nan's Casserole" Route

This year we are even more excited than normal about this great route, which started last Saturday the 15th of February and will finish on the 2nd of March… The reason why is pretty simple: Our Rivera Beach Club is one of its 73 participant establishments!!

Taking part on it has been the idea of our chef Salvador López, who participated on the first edition of this route when he worked for another establishment and who ended up being a finalist as his casserole got many votes.

The dish we are offering is a delicious casserole of beans and crispy cabbage which according to Salvador was a recipe his nan used to cook…something that makes it more than perfect to participate on this competition.

Like Salvador this casserole comes from Jerez (Cadiz), so it is a very typical Andalusian dish which main ingredients are beans, vegetables and smoked peppers.

This is the first time we participate on something like this, so we would love you to come to the Rivera to try the delicious recipe Salvador has prepared for you all.

The Rivera, like the other 72 establishments, offers you this beautiful casserole dish and a drink for just 2 €, so if you are currently on holiday at Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, why don’t you give it a go?
