If that is what you wish you will like to hear this weekend, from Friday the 31st of July to Sunday the 2nd of August, one of the most beautiful events of the summer will take place in Mijas: The Luna Mora Festival 2015.
This will be its second edition and as last year it will be on around its impressive Arabic wall but also around some of its main streets.
Last year more than 5,000 candles were used. This might seem a very high figure but this year more than 60,000 are forecasted to be used as the extension of this great festival is much bigger.
The purpose of the Luna Mora festival of Mijas is to make visitors travel back in time to the Al-Andalus period.
While the festival is on the beautiful streets of Mijas will be decorated with candles, there will be a bazaar where lovely handmade goods can be purchased and there will also be fun dancing workshops, lovely andalusi music performances and amazing concerts in the local auditorium.
The organisers of this event are the same of the famous Luna Mora of Guaro, another beautiful whitewashed village in mainland Malaga well known mainly because of this great festival.
If you missed it last year this time try not to… We are sure you will love it and will have a great time!
