San Juan’s Night is one of the most popular festivals in the Malaga area as it is a celebration to welcome summer.San Juan's Night - Hotel Yaramar Fuengirola

Every year on the 23rd of June people from Malaga go to the beach late in the evening to celebrate the change of season with family and friends.

Setting bonfires, burning “júas” (big handmade dolls), writing wishes on a piece of paper that later will get burnt and swimming in the sea or wetting your face or feet at midgnight are very typical rituals on San Juan’s Night.

All of them have the same purpose and that is to start summer in a good way and leaving bad things behind.

As every year Hotel Yaramar has prepared a few fun activities related to this day because we love spending it with you.

On Thursday the 20th of june at 10:00 A.M as every week we will have our cultural activity by the pool and this time the topic will be San Juan’s Night. Later at 10:30 A.M it will be craft time as we will make our own “júas” together and we will start writing our wishes and sticking them on the doll. And then on Sunday the 23rd from 11:30 P.M at the Rivera Beach Club we will celebrate the start of summer, so if you fancy having a great night with us please sign up in reception.

Try not to miss it, we expect you there!!
