This week we recommend you to visit it again for very different reasons as just a few days ago the new Pompidou Museum opened its doors to the public.
This fantastic museum, which oficially opened on the 28th of March, is located in the beautiful Port of Malaga and is the first branch of the Pompidou Museum outside France.
At the moment the Pompidou Malaga Museum has a wonderful permanent exhibition of more than 80 pieces of contemporary art by very important international artists like local Picasso, Belgian Magritte or Mexican Frida Khalo.
In the next few months it ill also offer outstanding temporary exhibitions of pieces by famous artists like Joan Miró.
The look and design of the building where the Pompidou Museum is homed is very modern. The building is in the shape of a cube, and because of this in Malaga it is already known as “The Cube”.
The entry price depends on if we fancy having access to all its exhibitions or just to the temporary or permanent ones. Its regular entry price is 9 euros and its reduced one is 5.50.
Depending on our age and if we work, are unemployed or retired the entry price might be free. What is certain is that on Sundays from 4:00P.M entrance is free for everyone with no exceptions.
If right now you are on holiday at Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, we definitely recommend you to make the most of our beautiful weather by heading to Malaga to wander around its lovely port and visit its new “cube”… C’est magnifique!
