After a little break on our blog regarding environmental issues due to the Christmas festivities, this week we bring back our section about natural landscapes in the Malaga area.

This January our recommendation is to visit Sierra de Las Nieves, a beautiful place only one hour and a half away by car from Fuengirola. Its name is due to the fact that each winter its peaks get covered in snow.

These mountains have many cliffs, precipices and stunning summits where some beautiful plant species like holm oaks, pines or Spanish firs can be found, in fact, the Spanish fir forest in Sierra de las Nieves is the biggest in Southern Spain.

In Sierra de las Nieves some stunning animal species can also be seen like the Spanish ibex, the vulpture or the golden eagle.

Sierra de las Nieves has also several paths of different difficulty levels.

If you love nature we encourage you to visit it when you come on holiday to Hotel Yaramar.

Let’s enjoy nature a bit more this 2018!
