Exhibition about Toulouse-Lautrec in Museo Carmen Thyssen

06Apr

This week the blog of Hotel Yaramar is all about art as we would like to recommend you a fantastic exhibition currently on in the capital of Costa del Sol.

From the 21st of February till the 9th of June Museo Carmen Thyssen holds an interesting exhibition called “Toulouse-Lautrec and the circus”.

As we pointed out in the past when we mentioned this museum, Museo Carmen Thyssen is based in a beautiful old building right in the heart of Malaga. It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 A.M to 8:00 P.M and its entry price depends on if you only want to see the temporary exhibition or both, temporary and permanent. What is constant is the fact every Sunday from 5:00 P.M its entry is free.

The exhibition we mentioned above, called “Toulouse-Lautrec” is a temporary one that offers its visitors the possibility to discover the fascinating drawings made by the artist using coloured pencils during a short period of convalescence in a sanatorium in Paris.

If you really like art and you are planning to stay with us shortly, we recommend you go to visit the Thyssen Museum to enjoy this superb exhibition.

Enjoy art in Costa del Sol!

Fair of Malaga 2019

12Aug

It is mid-August and this time of year is when the city of Malaga celebrates its fair.

This year the Fair of Malaga will start on Thursday the 15th of August, which is also a national bank holiday, and it will be on until Saturday the 24th.

Although the dates can vary a bit the fair is always on in mid-August as it commemorates the reconquest of Malaga by the Catholic Monarchs on the 19th of August 1487.

The Fair of Malaga is one of the most awaited events of the year not only by locals but also by visitors.

This amazing festival still has a traditional side even if it is quite cosmopolitan and international due to the big number of visitors from all over the world who visit the city willing to enjoy it.

If at the moment you are on holiday at Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, we certainly recommend you to visit this fantastic fair which is held from the morning to the early evening in the historical centre of Malaga, around the beautiful and well known Calle Larios.

There you will have the opportunity to see stunning flamenco dresses, to watch people dancing the traditional sevillanas and to enjoy some fantastic music performances. Besides, you can also try some delicious tapas and amazing local wines in a cheerful and happy environment.

As you know getting to Malaga from our hotel is cheap and easy thanks to the train service that connects Fuengirola with Malaga cityEnjoy the fair!
