New art exhibition in Casa de la Cultura

Last week here on the blog of Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, we recommended you visit a very interesting exhibition in Mijas. Today our blog post is about exhibitions again though the one we would like to recommend you this week is in Fuengirola.

If you are an art enthusiast, you will love this exhibition by artist from Cordoba, Jose Manuel Gomez Lopez that is available to visit free of charge in Casa de la Cultura of Fuengirola until the 30th of September.

Joe Manuel Gomez Lopez has participated in over 30 exhibitions in cities as important as Amsterdam, Mexico DF, Madrid, Paris and New York.

This exhibition contains a selection of his work: Some of them are oil pantings and in some others he uses other techniques.

Casa de la Cultura of Fuengirola is in Fuengirola town centre and it is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.

Free sevillanas dancing classes in Fuengirola

As many of you might already know the Fair of Fuengirola will start in less than a month.

Here we are very excited and already looking forward to party and to have a good dance.

Because of it this week Hotel Yaramar would like to recommend you an amazing free activity organised by the Fuengirola Council and related to our fair.

For the last five years, the Council offers some sevillanas dancing classes for those willing to learn this beautiful and traditional Spanish dance just in time for the fair.

 Alicia Iranzo Dancing school is the local dancing school in charge of the classes and these started last Wednesday, the 4th of September, and they are scheduled for Wednesday the 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th of September and 2nd of October at 8:30 P.M in the Cristobal Blanca del Moral Auditorium located in Parque de España, the most important park in town located by the new Town Hall and very close to Bioparc.

If right now you are enjoying some lovely days at Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, and you have always wanted to learn how to dance flamenco, we recommend attending this fun classes. Besides, you do not even need to book them in advance!

“Arts” Exhibition in Fuengirola

This week here on the blog of Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, we would like to recommend you a fabulous exhibition called “Arts” which has been organised by the Fuengirola Council for the third year in a row.

The exhibition is displayed in Museo Ciudad de Fuengirola and it includes pieces of pottery and clay, sculptures, paintings, photos, bookbinding works, restored books, glazed works, engravingsrestored items as well as objects and pieces done with recycled materials.

All works there included have been made by students who attend the evening art related classes organised by the Council.

The exhibition is totally free, it includes a big number of pieces, can be visited until Sunday the 23rd of June from Tuesday to Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 A.M. from 2:00 P.M. and from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

If you are currently staying with us, or you are planning to come before the 23rd of June, we recommend you visit it as it will make you see how talented the people of our town is.
