Do you remember when in January here on the blog of Hotel Yaramar we recommended you to visit the exhibition we had in Fuengirola about the Catholic Monarchs and we told you about the new square we now have in town dedicated to them too?
Today our blog entry is also about famous Spanish monarchs mainly because, as we then stated, many of you who have attended our Spanish culture activity on Thursdays have shown interest in them, either because you had been watching on TV the Spanish historical drama “Isabel” or because you had visited the new square named after them in Fuengirola.
Well, if you are following this historical TV series you will love to hear that right now in Malaga there is an exhibition of some of the costumes used for the show.
This costume and accessory exhibition is displayed in the Archivo Municipal de Malaga till the 7th of September.
It is called “Isabel I and her time” and it is composed of 19 of the most outstanding costumes of the TV show, like the dress fictional Queen Isabel I of Castile wore on her coronation day or on her wedding.
Apart from the costumes of the Queen there you can also see costumes belonging to other important characters. All of them are of a high quality and are beautifully sewn… They are certainly real pieces of art!
“Isabel I and her time” can be seen in the Exhibition room of Archivo Municipal de Málaga from Monday to Friday from 11:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M and from 6:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M. Its opening times on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays are from 11:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M.
This fantastic exhibition has already been shown in other Spanish cities with great success.
If you love this TV drama, you are passionate about history or you just love fashion and the show business, Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, recommends you not to miss it!
We will definitely go to have a look as we cannot wait for the new season of “Isabel” to start!
