Last week here on the blog of Hotel Yaramar we told you that this week Fuengirola is celebrating its Holy Week, though not only the centre Fuengirola is in a festive mood as Los Boliches is also willing to celebrate it in a special way.
On Holy Wednesday is when the procession of Jesus held Captive and the Virgin of Los Dolores takes place in Los Boliches. At 9:30 P.M. both thrones will leave their processional brotherhood headquarters located by the fairground and will pass through Avenida Jesús Cautivo, Calle Maestra Concepción Guidet, Avenida de Los Boliches,Plaza del Carmen, Calle Iglesia and Los Boliches Church and will head back towards their brotherhood headquarters, getting there by 02:00 A.M.
The following religious event in Los Boliches will be the Via Crucis on Good Friday. In the Via Crucis ceremony no throne is carried. The procession will start at 12:00 P.M at the Church of Los Boliches and will include in its itinerary some of the main streets of Los Boliches as Plaza del Carmen, Calle Iglesia, Calle Maestra Concepción Guidet and Calle Santísima Trinidad, finishing at the same church at 1:00 P.M
The last day of the Holy Week is Sunday the 20th of April, known as Resurrection Sunday or Easter Sunday and it is when the last procession will take place in Fuengirola.
This day a throne with a resurrected Jesus will be carried in procession around the streets of Los Boliches. The procession will start at 11:30 A.M departing from the same brotherhood headquarters by the fairground we told you about before. The itinerary will be the same one as on Holy Wednesday and the procession will finish by 2:30 P.M at the headquarters.
