On Costa del Sol we are quite influenced by the many foreign visitors we receive, so for this reason Halloween little by little has become one important event on our calendar.

As you already know here at Hotel Yaramar we love celebrations, so the fact we are willing to celebrate Halloween is not a big surprise. We are not the only ones though! Even if Halloween is quite a recent thing in Spain nowadays many people decorate their houses and have Halloween dinner parties and many schools organise Halloween parties so their pupils can have fun and wear costumes.

As we just said nowadays it is quite common to celebrate Halloween in Spain but, being a mostly catholic country, more than celebrating on the 31st of October what we have always celebrated is All Saints’ Day on the 1st of November.

All Saints’ Day is a bank holiday and when most Spaniards visit the cemetery to leave flowers on their loved ones graves.  Do you also celebrate Halloween on your home countries or you do something similar to us on 1st of November?

By the way, this year Hotel Yaramar has organised again the popular Halloween pumpkin competition for the staff.

If you fancy taking a look at the amazing pumpkins our staff has prepared and voting for your favourite you can do it at the hotel if you are currently on holiday with us. If you are not, don’t worry, just pay attention to our Facebook page as in the next few days we will upload pictures of their spooky creations.

Happy Halloween!!
