Here on the blog of Hotel Yaramar we have been talking for a while now about the upcoming Fair of Fuengirola. What you might not know though is that before its arrival another very important celebration will be on on Costa del Sol: The Fair of Torremolinos 2014.Fair of Torremolinos 2014 - Hotel Yaramar Fuengirola

The Fair of Torremolinos is also known as the Fair of St. Michael and as every year it is from the 26th to the 29th of September.

Before it starts Torremolinos has organised some important events related to it as the 18th edition of the Classic Car Gathering, the fair opening speech, some music and dance performances or the traditional “romería”.

From the 26th onwards there will be many more activities like free food tastings and live shows on several squares in town. The fair lighting ceremony will be on the 26th of September at  9:00 P.M and that same day from 6:00 P.M there will also be a fantastic new horse parade.

This parade will pass through the main streets of the city centre and will finish in the bullring where a beautiful horse show will follow.

Same as it happens in Malaga and in other towns in the area the Fair of Torremolinos is celebrated in town during the afternoon and early evening and then later in the day all the activities are held in the fairground.

Monday the 29th is the last day of the fair and also the most important as it is St. Michael’s Day. On this day there will be a mass at midday in honour of this saint and a procession from 7:00 P.M.

We are well aware that you are also looking forward to the Fair of Fuengirola, so if you are currently on holiday with us at Hotel Yaramar, your hotel in Fuengirola, and you fancy having a good time before it starts we definitely recommend you to visit Torremolinos!
